Photo Challenge; A Bridge Between Here And There

Hello friends,

Welcome to my little world of wandering words and fleeting moments caught in an instant of light exposure. Hope you like what you find, and even if you don’t, I’m still grateful for being given the chance to share my world with you. Alas, here is another contribution to WordPress’ Weekly Photo Challenge, this time with the theme bridge.

I hope you enjoy my photos, for without an audience, a photo is nothing but a play with lights!

One of the many rickety bridges one has to cross on the trail to Machu Picchu

A bridge is meant to be crossed. Or so we are told.
But on that day, as we stumbled -somewhat lost, for we were doing the trek without a guide- onward and towards that most familiar of myths; the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, I did something slightly different. I stopped for a moment and watched our small gang become part of the verdant hills on the far side of the bridge.
I stopped and celebrated that moment in our lives; we were on a bridge taking us that much closer to our shared dream; a dream which had brought us all together, taking on a challenge none of us knew for certain was possible at all.
Travelling teaches you how to make bridges quicker and better, and that bridge we build in the wilds of Peru (find out here how one can reach Machu Picchu independently) was perhaps one of the best bridge I’ve ever made.
